Stephen Bruton Musical Director A Forth Worth, Texas native and Austin resident since 1983, Stephen Bruton will be leading the entertainment programs for the Road to Austin: Live Music Capital of the World free concert and event.

Stephen’s 40-year career is more like a career for five people:

• He’s a world-renowned guitar player who’s performed for such legendary artists as Bonnie Raitt, and Kris Kristofferson.
• He’s a Grammy-nominated record producer who has produced records for Alejandro Escovedo, Marcia Ball, Storyville and Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
• He’s a songwriter, whose songs have been covered by many, including Bonnie Raitt, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Jimmy Buffett and Patty Loveless.
• He’s an actor in movies like Miss Congeniality, The Alamo, Sweet Thing and most recently Man Of The House, with Tommy Lee Jones.
• Stephen’s solo recording career has produced five CDs with his most current effort released in 2005 titled “From the Five” on New West Records.
